Tucuma Butter

Tucuma Butter is cold-processed, and ultra-refined, leaving it with a very mild scent. Having a silicone-like behavior, Tucuma is unusually rich in lauric, myristic and oleic acids; it is thus considered to have excellent emollient and skin-softening properties. As well, it is high in vitamin A, and its antioxidant properties lengthens its shelf life. Tucuma Butter performs more like the actives, delivering true healing, and restructuring benefits, to the skin as it improves the skin’s moisture barriers and offers true hydration for improved elasticity and suppleness. It is also known to improve scarring and stretch marks. High in vitamin A, the antioxidant properties in this exotic Amazonian butter help to keep the skin soft, smooth and nourished. This butter has a natural gloss that brings a desirable shine to dry, damaged skin and acts as a wonderful moisturizer exhibiting lubricity. Tucuma Butter is solid at room temperature, but melts easily upon contact with the skin. It is added to high-end soaps, creams, lotions, body butters, conditioners, and balms.

• Lotions & Creams: 5 - 10 %
• Balms: 5 – 50 %
• Bar Soaps: 5 - 15 %
• Hair Conditioners: 1 – 3 %
