Botanic Planet Canada  tinctures are alcohol-based tinctures they are prepared according to North American Pharmacopoeia Standard. Tinctures are extracted from the herbs (Bark, Flower, Fruit,  Leaf, Root & Seeds ) in 50% distilled cane sugar alcohol and distilled water at a 2:10 ratio.  This is standard method of extraction with alcohol which helps extract almost all active ingredients from a herb yielding standard tinctures. Extracts are one of the simplest ways to enjoy the goodness of herbs. Alcohol eliminates the growth of bacteria and mold while preserving the valuable constituents resulting in a much longer shelf life.

INGREDIENTS:-Organic Grain Alcohol 30%, Organic Catuaba Bark & Distilled Water.

Juniper, typically Juniperus communis, is used to flavor gin, a liquor developed in the 17th century in the Netherlands. The name gin itself is derived from either the French genièvre or the Dutch jenever, which both mean "juniper". Other juniper-flavoured beverages include the Finnish rye-and-juniper beer known as sahti, which is flavored with both juniper berries and branches. While classified as generally recognized as safe in the United States, juniper berries may have various side effects that have not been tested extensively in clinical trials. Mainly due to an increased risk of miscarriage, even in small doses, consuming juniper berries may affect pregnant or breastfeeding women and people with diabetes, bleeding disorders or after surgery. In traditional medicine, juniper berries were used for female birth control.
